With a Law degree by the Catholic University of Angola (2017), she studied at Imne Marista, specializing in Portuguese Language. She works as a lawyer and has a passion for literature and any form of artistic expression.

Cleonice Gomes Moreira

Multimedia Communication

She has a Masters in Multimedia Communication and a degree in Information Technologies and Communication from the Catholic University of Portugal, and is a teacher and researcher at the University of Cape Verde. She is a member of the Center for Support to Distance Learning at UNICV, and researches mainly Graphic Design, Webdesign, Virtual Reality, Multimedia Journalism, UX and UI Design, Graphic Computation and Multimedia in Education.

João Mascarenhas

Scientific researcher

Scientific researcher in the field of material engineering, he devotes most of his free time to comic books and illustration. His character (and alter ego) O Menino Triste is published since 2009 by the publisher Qual Albatroz, who also published his work “Butterfly Chronicles”, a sci-fi comic book for digital reading supports.

His most recent work in partnership with Paulo Vaz de Carvalho – O Perigoso Pacifista – Histórias de Adriano Correia de Oliveira, and published by A Seita and Centro Adriano (CACDACO), has just received its second edition. At the moment, he has three books in the finishing process, which will be shortly published.

Eliana N'Zualo

Mozambican Storyteller

Eliana N’Zualo is a Mozambican storyteller based in Maputo. She published the children’s book “Elefante Tendai e os Primos Hipopótamos” with the publisher Fundza in 2019, which was later included in anthologies in Brazil and South African. In the field of audio visuals, she developed the video-poems “Margens”, in 2019, and “Cartas de Amor para Meninas Mal Comportadas”, in 2021.

She was one of the winners of the first BDPALOP competition and, together with her creative partner Ique Langa, developed the comic book “Torre Nova” in 2023, recently published.

Rapha Pinheiro

Editor-in-chief of Universo Guará

Rapha studied architecture and urban planning in FAU UFRJ (graduating in the University of Lincoln, in England), where he published his thesis in comics, he has a post-grad in Comics in École Européenne Superieure de l’Image em Angoulême (France) and a Master’s in Creative Media by ECO UFRJ.

He is the editor-in-chief of Universo Guará, Publisher of the Year by HQMix in 2022, where he manages the production and publishing of several artists and titles in Brazil. He is also a teacher in the School of Communication and Digital Design (ECDD) from the Infnet Institute, and Director of Inko – School of Creative Media, which he founded in 2019 and that prepares artists for national and international markets.
